In this role, you will become an integral part of our Decision Support and Business Intelligence function, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide high-level analytical support that drives strategic decision-making across the organization. Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically gifted professional to fill the role of Business Analyst on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26/hour and is designed for individuals who are passionate about using data to drive business success.
The Business Analyst will serve as a cross-functional liaison, providing analytical support for a wide range of business activities including client transaction spending and investment, business planning, supply chain optimization, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and working capital management. Additionally, this role will support the agreement forecasting process, activity-based costing, and the annual planning cycle.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a variety of critical functions that contribute to our organizational success. Your primary duties will include:
- Pre-and Post-Analysis of Business Initiatives: Conduct comprehensive analysis of client programs, strategic initiatives, new product launches, operational changes, and marketing investments. Your focus will be on providing insights that help the business make informed, data-driven decisions that maximize outcomes.
- Pilot Program Evaluation: Investigate the performance of various pilot programs while following rigorous testing methodologies, including A/B testing and other experimental approaches. You will be responsible for documenting findings and providing recommendations for scaling successful initiatives.
- Tool Maintenance and Development: Maintain and update required tools based on evolving business needs, including Business Process Management (BPM) systems and Route Planning models. You will ensure these tools remain accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Identify errors, irregularities, and gaps in reporting and processes. You will develop and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy across the organization.
- Trend Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Proactively search for trends and patterns in the data you evaluate. Your analytical mindset will help identify gaps or opportunities that the organization needs to consider or address in its strategic planning.
- Financial Tool Development: Support the design and development of arenaflex tools to improve financial outcomes. You will analyze various business drivers from top-line revenue to bottom-line profitability while continuously enhancing value chain capabilities.
- Business Scenario Modeling: Model business scenarios based on known datasets and specific business requirements. Your modeling work will provide leadership with the information needed to make strategic decisions about resource allocation, investment priorities, and operational adjustments.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis and Reporting: Provide spontaneous investigations and reporting as required by the business. You will also prepare executive summaries and presentations that communicate complex findings in clear, actionable terms.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other related responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, or Operations with a strong emphasis on analysis, modeling, or forecasting. Experience in Management Consulting or Engineering is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills are essential, including proficiency with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP functions, and complex modeling capabilities. You should be comfortable building sophisticated financial models and analytical dashboards.
- Data Literacy: Strong data literacy skills with the ability to work with large datasets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions that inform business strategy.
- Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI to create compelling visual representations of complex data that drive decision-making.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Competency in other Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Visio. You should be able to create professional presentations and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and how various business activities impact financial outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Statistical analysis experience using R or similar statistical software packages
- Knowledge of Edge Minder (Notable Interactive Digger) or other data mining and sales reporting tools
- Familiarity with SharePoint collaboration platforms
- Operational understanding of selling, distribution, warehouse, and production processes
- Project management or service delivery experience
