About the Role
We're looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to own and grow our partnerships with publishers, advertisers, agencies, and media companies. You'll be the tip of the spear in identifying, pitching, and closing strategic deals that expand our reach and revenue. This is a high-impact, externally facing role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and knows the digital media ecosystem inside and out.
What You'll Do
- Prospect & Pipeline Management - Identify and prioritize target publishers, advertisers, media agencies, and ad networks; build and maintain a healthy pipeline from cold outreach through close.
- Deal Execution - Lead end-to-end deal cycles including discovery, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution in partnership with legal and finance.
- Relationship Building - Develop and nurture senior-level relationships (C-suite, VP, Director) at media companies, brands, holding companies, and independent agencies.
- Market Intelligence - Stay current on industry trends across programmatic, direct-sold, affiliate, and sponsored content models; bring insights back to product and strategy teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with product, marketing, and account management to ensure seamless partner onboarding and long-term success.
- Revenue Ownership - Own and report against quarterly and annual bookings targets; forecast accurately and communicate progress to leadership.
- Event Representation - Attend key industry events (CES, Advertising Week, Cannes Lions, etc.) to build brand presence and source new opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 4-8 years of business development, partnerships, or sales experience in digital media, adtech, or martech
- Strong existing network across publishers, media agencies, or advertiser-side marketing teams
- Deep familiarity with the advertising ecosystem - programmatic, display, native, affiliate, sponsored content, and/or data monetization
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Excellent communicator and presenter - comfortable in a boardroom or on a Zoom call with C-level executives
- Highly organized with strong CRM discipline (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality who can also work collaboratively across teams
