Position Overview

The Chief Business Analytics Lead in the Business Assessment gathering will play a pivotal role in taking complex business challenges and conducting advanced analytics to identify the pain points that impact our customers' experience from the moment they receive a promotional email to the time a solicitation has been delivered to their doorsteps. You will utilize SQL queries and visualization tools to help clients understand patterns and significant opportunities in the Customer Support space. This role will serve as the backbone to a significantly data-driven Customer Support organization.

As a key contributor to our analytics ecosystem, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe, working closely with product, operations, and planning groups to deliver initiatives that enhance our analytical infrastructure. Your expertise will provide both immediate analytical insights and long-term strategic guidance to drive our Customer Satisfaction metrics forward.

What You'll Do

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work virtually with product, operations, and planning teams on a global scale to drive initiatives that develop the foundation for analytical frameworks while providing near-term assessment for Customer Satisfaction metrics.
  • Deep-Dive Analytics: Conduct significant leap assessment on Customer Experience scores, including the utilization of state-of-the-art analytical techniques, to identify critical drivers behind performance and provide insights around significant trouble spots and factors.
  • Strategic Communication: Present discoveries with a clear perspective and compelling insights using visualization tools like Looker, Data Studio, and Tableau for both leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring insights can be leveraged to drive the Customer Happiness initiative forward.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Apply consistent and quantitative capabilities to work with large and complex datasets, research critically defined questions, and develop concepts to guide business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various colleagues to identify key components and requirements for each project, and secure buy-in for project approaches.
  • KPI Reporting: Work closely with Data Science and Planning teams to gather descriptions for executive-level KPI reporting, and complete implementations in production environments.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Demonstrate ability to manage and mentor junior team members, whether directly or indirectly, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

What You'll Need

Essential Qualifications


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's/Advanced degree, ideally in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are highly valued but not required if accompanied by equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools including Looker and Data Studio, with the ability to synthesize insights using Excel or Google Sheets. Strong proficiency in driving complex data analysis using Python, SQL, and Hive is essential.
  • Statistical Modeling: Experience creating flexible forecasts using time series and mathematical modeling to simulate the impact of various trends on customer experience scores, taking into account historical performance.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Enthusiastic about tackling complex business problems from issue definition and business-case development through to execution. You should be comfortable with the entire analytical lifecycle from question formulation to insight delivery.
  • Communication Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex analyses into compelling, actionable business narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Ability to manage and mentor junior team members, whether directly or indirectly, supporting their professional development while driving team success.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in e-commerce or retail analytics, preferably within a fast-paced, data-centric environment.

  • Strong background in customer experience metrics, NPS (Net Promoter Score), CSAT (Customer Satisfaction), or similar KPIs.

  • Proven track record of translating analytical findings into strategic business recommendations that have driven measurable improvements.

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application to business problems.

  • Experience working in agile or cross-functional team environments.

  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping and experience design principles.
