Senior Client Manager (CPA or EA)

Position Overview:
Were seeking an experienced CPA or EA to lead a client portfolio focused on Form 1041 Trust Returns and Form 1040 Individual Returns. Youll act as the primary point of contact for fiduciaries, trustees, and high-net-worth individuals, providing tax expertise and strategic guidance. This role is supported by a production team so you can focus on high-level tax analysis, planning, and client relationships.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex Form 1041 (trust) and Form 1040 (individual) tax returns
- Serve as primary point of contact for fiduciary and HNW clients
- Conduct tax planning meetings and year-end reviews
- Manage and mentor a small pod of tax staff and support team
- Respond to IRS/FTB notices and manage tax resolution as needed
- Maintain accurate client data in Lacerte, QuickBooks, and Liscio
- Identify opportunities for expanded services (e.g., estate planning, charitable giving strategies)
- Qualifications:
- Active CPA or EA license (MST preferred)
- 7+ years of tax experience, including 3+ years managing client relationships
- Expertise in trust and individual taxation
- Strong knowledge of tax planning strategies, fiduciary income rules, and multi-state tax issues
- Comfortable with Lacerte, QuickBooks (Desktop/QBO), and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compensation & Benefits:
- $55$72.19 per hour DOE (paid overtime during tax season)
