About the Role: Remote CPC Processor
As a CPC Processor at arenaflex, you'll be the frontline voice of our organization, handling medical record requests and providing status updates to a wide range of callers. This position is perfect for organized, detail-oriented individuals who excel at multitasking and maintaining composure in a high-volume environment.
You'll be working in our remote call center operation, where you'll process medical record requests by taking calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other authorized parties. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate, timely status information while documenting all interactions across multiple platforms. Success in this role requires comfort with dual-monitor setups, strong computer skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently.
This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST. We believe in work-life balance and have designed our scheduling to support your well-being while meeting our operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other authorized requestors seeking medical record information and status updates
- Process medical record requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with healthcare regulations
- Navigate multiple platforms simultaneously using dual-monitor computer setups to document caller information, update records, and track request progress
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism in every interaction
- Maintain accuracy in data entry and documentation across various systems, ensuring information integrity
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient health information
- Meet productivity metrics while maintaining quality standards in a high-volume production environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex requests and improve overall process efficiency
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on company systems, policies, and healthcare industry regulations
- Escalate complex issues appropriately to supervisory staff while documenting all relevant details
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or healthcare setting
- Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with strong keyboarding skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and listen actively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Basic computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new software platforms
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet connection and dedicated workspace
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical records, healthcare billing, or insurance coordination
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy requirements
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Background in legal or insurance documentation processing
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) is a plus
