We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CPC Processor - Medical Records Customer Support Specialist to join our dynamic customer service team. This is a remote position based in our call center environment, where you will play a critical role in facilitating the secure exchange of medical information that healthcare providers, patients, insurers, and legal professionals rely upon daily.

As a CPC Processor Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the frontline connection between patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and healthcare providers seeking medical record information. Key Responsibilities


  • Process medical record requests by efficiently handling inbound calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and healthcare providers seeking information about medical record status and availability

  • Navigate multiple platforms simultaneously using dual computer monitors to access, update, and document customer information across various systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and clarity, ensuring all callers receive accurate and timely information regarding their requests

  • Document all interactions thoroughly by inputting detailed notes into our customer relationship management systems, maintaining comprehensive records of all communications and actions taken

  • Verify caller identity and authorization to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies, protecting sensitive patient information at all times

  • Troubleshoot common issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate team leads or technical support staff when necessary

  • Meet productivity metrics while maintaining quality standards in a high-volume production environment

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with company procedures, healthcare regulations, and system updates

  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and support colleagues during peak call volumes

Essential Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare, business, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or call center environment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume phone calls while maintaining professionalism and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word for documentation and Excel for data tracking

  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally

  • Excellent listening skills with the capacity to understand caller needs and provide appropriate responses

  • Comfortable working in a remote call center environment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work effectively during standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation preferred

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in medical records processing, health information management, or healthcare administration

  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification or willingness to obtain certification within first year of employment

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
