The Role

As a Customer Engineer specializing in AI/ML for Healthcare and Life Sciences, you will work closely with our Technical Sales teams as a machine learning subject matter expert to differentiate arenaflex Cloud from the competition. In this role, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of arenaflex Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.

You will have the unique opportunity to help customers leverage specialized Machine Learning (ML) hardware developed by arenaflex, including the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). You will work closely with customers and product development teams to shape the future of our TPU platform and ensure it meets the demanding requirements of healthcare and life sciences applications.

Key Responsibilities


  • Business Development Support: Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers that may prevent customers from adopting our AI/ML solutions.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide machine learning expertise to support the technical relationship with arenaflex's customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and direct partnership with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to arenaflex Cloud.

  • Customer Engagement: Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype arenaflex Cloud product integrations in customer and partner environments, ensuring seamless implementation and maximum value delivery.

  • Architecture Design: Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement complete solutions using best practices on arenaflex Cloud.

  • Technical Presentations: Engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders to present technical solutions, address concerns, and build lasting relationships with healthcare and life sciences organizations.

  • Travel and Events: Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed to support customer success and represent arenaflex at industry events.

  • Solution Development: Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback on AI/ML hardware and software capabilities, helping shape the future of our healthcare-specific offerings.

Essential Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company or a similar customer-facing role.

  • Proven experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

  • Strong experience with big data, machine learning, and numerical programming frameworks such as TensorFlow, Python, and MATLAB.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience in building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures including deep learning, LSTM networks, and convolutional networks.

  • Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.

  • Experience in data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses.

  • Knowledge of healthcare and life sciences industry workflows, regulations, and technology requirements.

  • Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud and IT technology space.

  • Experience with cloud platform architectures and their application to healthcare use cases.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$213,000, depending on experience and location.
