What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, your role extends far beyond traditional retail duties. You'll be the face of our organization, creating lasting impressions that define the arenaflex customer experience. Here's what you can expect:

Customer Engagement & Experience


  • Greet every customer and patient with warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine willingness to assist

  • Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and services

  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring each interaction ends with customer satisfaction

  • Model and share exceptional customer service best practices with team members to maintain our high service standards

  • Demonstrate interpersonal habits including friendly greetings, positive eye contact, and courteous behavior at all times

  • Exhibit arenaflex service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying customer needs, and servicing customers until they are completely satisfied

Sales & Register Operations


  • Process customer purchases accurately on assigned cash registers, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently

  • Collect payments and distribute change precisely as requested by customers

  • Handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges professionally and in accordance with company policies

  • Recommend complementary items and trade-up opportunities to enhance customer purchases

  • Register customer purchases while maintaining a welcoming and efficient checkout atmosphere

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of store systems and equipment to minimize customer wait times

Merchandising & Store Operations


  • Keep counters and shelves clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised at all times

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels

  • Price merchandise according to company guidelines and as directed by store management

  • Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss

  • Construct and maintain eye-catching displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise

  • Complete resets and revisions as directed by management to keep the store fresh and engaging

  • Assist with proper food separation and product placement according to company policies (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)

  • Maintain stock rotation using the first in, first out (FIFO) method to minimize waste and ensure product freshness

Compliance & Regulatory


  • Ensure full compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products

  • Follow all company policies and procedures meticulously

  • Maintain respectful and professional relationships with all coworkers

Specialized Services


  • Provide exceptional customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services, poster prints, and creative machine operations

  • Suggestively sell promotional photo products to enhance customer experience and drive sales

  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders in our picture care system, fulfilling pick items, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store

Store Maintenance


  • Assist with exterior and interior store maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly, and visually appealing store environment

  • Contribute to the overall store appearance that reflects arenaflex's commitment to excellence

Additional Responsibilities


  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as directed by management

  • Contribute to team goals and support coworkers in a collaborative environment

  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to handle evolving job responsibilities

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Skills

Basic Qualifications


  • Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico where additional language skills may be beneficial)

  • Availability: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and reliability

  • Legal Eligibility: Willingness to undergo background checks as required by company policy and state regulations

Preferred Qualifications


  • Retail Experience: Six months or more of experience in a retail or customer service environment

  • Industry Knowledge: Prior work experience in a similar retail setting is highly desirable

  • Language Skills: Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)

  • Schedule Flexibility: Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend shifts

  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable learning and utilizing various store systems, cash registers, and technology

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities and a customer-focused attitude
