Position Overview: Customer Service Associate

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be the friendly face that greets our customers and ensures every visit is a positive one. Your primary responsibility is to model and deliver an outstanding customer experience that reflects arenaflex commitment to service excellence. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with our store leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain a clean and inviting store environment, and provide support across various departments as needed. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys variety in their workday, takes pride in helping others, and can handle multiple tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Engagement



  • Greet customers warmly and proactively offer assistance with products and services to meet their needs.

  • Engage with clients and patients in a friendly, approachable manner, making eye contact and using positive verbal cues.

  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions promptly and professionally to ensure complete satisfaction.

  • Demonstrate arenaflex service values: offering help proactively, acknowledging needs, and following through until the customer is satisfied.

  • Build lasting relationships with repeat customers by remembering preferences and providing personalized recommendations.

Sales & Transaction Processing



  • Process customer purchases accurately on the assigned point-of-sale register, ensuring proper collection of payment and correct change distribution.

  • Handle voids, returns, delays, refunds, and exchanges efficiently and in accordance with company policies.

  • Suggest items to purchase and recommend complementary products (upselling and cross-selling) to enhance the customer's shopping experience.

  • Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment to troubleshoot basic issues and answer customer inquiries.

Store Operations & Merchandising



  • Keep counters and registers clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving, checking in, and pricing stock as directed by the store manager or shift lead.

  • Develop and maintain product displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale items. Complete resets and updates as instructed.

  • Assist with food separation (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and proper product placement according to company policies and procedures.

  • For consumable items, support inventory rotation using FIFO (first in, first out) methods and restock as needed to prevent stockouts.

Compliance & Asset Protection



  • Implement company loss prevention strategies to identify and minimize profit loss.

  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding controlled products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco items.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful and professional relationships with team members.

  • Complete all required training and comply with company standards for safety and regulatory adherence.

Additional Duties & Photo Center Support



  • Provide customer assistance in the photo center, including digital passport photo services, banner printing, and creative machine operations.

  • Process special orders for unique photo products and assist customers with their creative needs.

  • Handle web order responsibilities, including monitoring orders in the system, picking items, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.

  • Support with内外 maintenance by ensuring the store condition and appearance remain clean, tidy, and welcoming.

  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by store leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Language Skills: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Preference may be given to bilingual candidates, especially in regions like Puerto Rico).

  • Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Retail environments require adaptability to peak hours and seasonal demands.

  • Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Six months or more of experience in a retail, customer service, or hospitality environment.

  • Previous experience working in a pharmacy, health, or wellness retail setting.

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and process transactions efficiently.
