What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Passenger Service Agent at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and creating positive experiences for passengers traveling through our partner airports. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Passenger Check-In Services: Greet passengers at the ticket counter and gates, assisting with check-in procedures, issuing boarding passes, and managing seat assignments. You'll ensure all documentation is properly completed and verify passenger identity according to airline and security regulations.

  • Luggage Processing: Handle passenger baggage with care and precision, including tagging, weighing, and loading luggage onto appropriate flights. You'll be responsible for tracking bags and resolving any issues related to lost or mishandled baggage.

  • Customer Complaint Resolution: Patiently address customer concerns and complaints regarding ticketing issues, baggage handling problems, flight delays, and other service-related matters. You'll use your problem-solving skills to find satisfactory solutions while maintaining professionalism and composure.

  • Information & inquiries: Knowledgeably answer questions regarding flight schedules, fares, airport services, and other travel-related inquiries. You'll serve as a reliable source of information for passengers navigating their journeys.

  • Gate Announcements: Make clear and professional announcements over the public address system regarding flight activity, boarding procedures, delays, gate changes, and other important information.

  • Communication Coordination: Serve as the vital communication link between the gate, ground handling team, flight crew, and airport vendors. You'll manage all flight movement messages to ensure seamless coordination across all stakeholders.

  • Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for passengers, crew, and team members at all times.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Qualifications


  • Age & Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, team members, and station leadership. You should be comfortable speaking clearly and confidently in both English and any other languages that may be required at your specific location.

  • Computer Proficiency: Have proficient computer skills, including familiarity with airline reservation systems, Microsoft Office applications, and general office equipment.

  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Note: This requirement may vary depending on the specific airport location.

  • Background & Security Clearance: Be able to pass a comprehensive drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive background check covering the past 10 years of employment, criminal records, and residence history.

  • COVID-19 Vaccination (Specific Locations): If applying for positions at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine recognized by the CDC is required for employment.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation industries

  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities

  • Knowledge of airline operations, ticketing systems, and airport procedures

  • Experience handling passenger complaints and difficult situations professionally

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Aviation operations are dynamic and physically demanding. Prospective candidates should be prepared for the following:

  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis, including luggage, ground support equipment, and cargo.
  • Physical Activity: Stand, lift, bend, push, and pull on a frequent basis and for extended periods throughout your shift.
  • Noise Exposure: Work around jet engines and machinery noises regularly. Appropriate hearing protection will be provided.
  • Shift Flexibility: Airlines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Team members must be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary based on flight schedules and operational needs.
