This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals who are passionate about healthcare data accuracy, analytical problem-solving, and want to be part of a team that ensures proper coordination of insurance benefits for vulnerable populations.

About the Role: Data and Analytics Consultant

As a Data and Analytics Consultant at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting our Medicaid Coordination of Benefits team. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the accuracy of primary insurance carrier information for Medicaid beneficiaries, which is essential for proper claims processing and payment coordination. This role is fundamental to our operations, as accurate COB data directly impacts healthcare reimbursement, reduces billing errors, and ensures that members receive the benefits they are entitled to receive.

You will leverage your analytical expertise and technical skills to support the daily functions of the COB team through comprehensive data analysis. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in healthcare data systems, gain exposure to Medicaid operations, and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our coordination of benefits operations:

  • Data Accuracy Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of primary insurance carrier information for Medicaid beneficiaries, reviewing and validating data to prevent billing errors and ensure proper claims processing.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement within the COB function.

  • System Support: Utilize QNXT platform and SQL Server Management Studio to query, analyze, and manipulate data sets as needed for operational support and special projects.

  • Process Optimization: Apply independent thinking and analytical skills to develop solutions for complex data challenges and improve workflow efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate benefits activities and resolve issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of data analysis findings, process changes, and operational improvements.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate analytical findings, recommendations, and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Degrees in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or related fields are highly preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to work with complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicaid Coordination of Benefits (COB) concepts and regulations is essential for this role.

  • System Expertise: Proficiency in QNXT platform and SQL Server Management Studio is required. You should be comfortable writing queries and working with database systems.

  • Independent Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work autonomously and make sound decisions based on data analysis.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

While the following are not required, they will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • 2-3 years of experience in claims processing, healthcare billing, or insurance coordination

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (in addition to required Bachelor's degree for additional consideration)

  • Previous experience working with Medicaid or Medicare data

  • Familiarity with other healthcare information systems

  • Experience in data validation and quality assurance

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data privacy requirements
