Position Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic New Product Introduction team at arenaflex. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting and designing data interactions and dashboarding solutions that prevent errors from occurring as we manage change to drive improvements in our elite products. Your work will directly influence arenaflex specialists and production teams daily, affecting the efficiency of the organization as well as improving the functionality of products we develop now and in the future.

What You'll Do

As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into powerful insights that drive business decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build robust, flexible, and automated software tools to enable complex analysis of real-time data, ensuring that our teams have access to the insights they need when they need them.


• Answer complex questions related to change impact on manufacturing processes, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.


• Cross-communicate information from various data storage locations, breaking down silos and creating a unified view of our operational data.


• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions and maintain alignment across departments.


• Contribute to the automation and standardization of our data pipelines, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors in our data processes.


• Build visualizations to communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.


• Analyze and determine optimal solutions for change integration with manufacturing, other arenaflex plants, and suppliers (including EBOM, MBOM, etc.).


• Provide thought leadership in analysis, modeling, and head to advance the team's capacity and result. Guide colleagues and collaborate within and remotely to solve business problems.


• Develop and program management execution of solutions and business processes that are optimized for speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, capacity, and flexibility.


• Foster decision support systems, tools, and models that are scalable and reproducible to assist with planning growth and decision-making for arenaflex.


• Work with partners to take an ambiguous issue statement, refine the scope of the investigation, and use the results to drive informed decisions.


• Summarize and clearly communicate data analysis assumptions and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


• Build data pipelines to transform your ad-hoc data investigations into production dashboards that specialists can rely on daily.


• Design and execute metrics, applications, and tools that will enable engineers by allowing them to self-serve their data insights.


• Work with engineers to drive adoption of your applications and tools throughout the organization.


• Write clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other programmers, ensuring long-term sustainability of our data solutions.


• Operate and support your production applications with dedication and expertise.


• Stay current on relevant technologies and frameworks, and propose new ones that the team could utilize to improve our capabilities.


• Identify trends, discover better ways of looking at data, and set innovative approaches to drive improvements in both existing and future products.

What You'll Bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience with demonstrated exceptional ability.


• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of data structures, structures, and languages including SQL. Proficiency in statistical programming (R) and experience with database languages.


• Data Visualization: Experience and interest in data visualization techniques, including proficiency with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or d3.js.


• Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex problems and shift priorities with minimal early notice to meet tight deadlines.


• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.


• Simulation Tools: Experience with simulation tools such as FlexSim, AnyLogic, or similar platforms.
