Remote, USA Full-time Immediate Start

ElevAAte Biotech is advancing the leadership pipeline for East Asian Americans in U.S. biopharma. We run high-impact programming for senior executives, investors, and operators — and we're growing.

We're hiring a Deputy Director to serve as the Executive Director's right hand and organizational backbone. This is a senior role with real ownership: programs, operations, and the work that keeps a high-performing nonprofit moving.

    What you'll own:
  • Program management across ElevAAte's flagship events and initiatives
  • Operational systems and infrastructure that enable the org to scale
  • Strategic projects and communications in support of the ED

How You'll Contribute

    Organizational Strategy & ED Support
  • Serve as a thought partner to the ED on organizational priorities, programming, and growth
  • Help develop and execute ElevAAte's annual plan and long-term strategy
    Programs & Events
  • Own end-to-end design and quality of ElevAAte's programming — multi-day leadership retreats, regional gatherings, research reports
  • Ensure events reflect ElevAAte's brand and serve a senior biotech audience
  • Manage volunteers and contractors supporting program delivery
  • Develop frameworks to evaluate program impact and community growth
    Fundraising Support
  • Help develop sponsorship proposals and materials
  • Maintain donor and sponsor tracking in Salesforce and support follow-through on the ED's development pipeline
    Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and internal systems, including Salesforce
  • Ensure the organization has the structure, tools, and clarity to execute
  • Help build ElevAAte's capacity as it scales — people, processes, and infrastructure

While this role is remote, we have a preference for candidates based in California, and some travel for events is expected.

    Qualifications
  • 6–10 years in nonprofit leadership, program management, operations, or a related field
  • Track record managing complex projects and senior relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with executive-level audiences
  • Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development a plus; Salesforce or similar CRM experience helpful
  • Background in biopharma, life sciences, or Asian American communities preferred
