MedStar Health, the largest healthcare system in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. region, is expanding our Nighthawk Radiology Division and is seeking evening and night-shift Diagnostic Radiologists to support this expansion. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates located in any U.S. state.

Job Responsibilities: • Academic and Clinical positions available
- Final interpretations of after-hours CT and ultrasound, with some X-ray and occasional MRI
- 24/7 dedicated PACS support
- 24/7 dedicated call center for critical results reporting
- 7 or 8-hour shifts
- Preliminary reads issued for complex cases or during high-volume periods
- Shared responsibility for handling after-hours questions and calls from technologists and providers
- 9-10 RVUs/hour with incentives for higher productivity
- Abundant internal moonlighting opportunities Qualifications: Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia
- Fellowship training preferred
- Must be licensed in the state from which you are reading Working Hours: Compared to other emergency radiology roles, shifts are slightly shorter, typically 8 hours.
- Overnights only:
o 17 weeks per year
o 1 week on / 2 weeks off
o 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. (Mon.–Sun.)
- Evenings only:
o 23 weeks per year with periodic 3-week breaks
o Weekdays (Mon.–Fri.): 5 p.m.–12 a.m.
o Weekends (Sat.–Sun.): 3–11 p.m.
- Hybrid Evenings/Overnights:
o Overnight: 12–7 a.m. (Mon.–Fri.), 11 p.m.–7 a.m. (Sat.–Sun.)
- Coverage across multiple hospitals and urgent care centers in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
