About the Role: Account Manager, RWE Clinical Trials

As an Account Manager at arenaflex, you will serve as the strategic leader for a designated portfolio of clients within our RWE Clinical Trials business unit. This role offers an exceptional entrepreneurial experience for professionals who have demonstrated success in winning new business, building lasting client relationships, and understanding the intricate landscape of clinical research from Phase I through Phase IV.

You will be responsible for driving the growth of your assigned accounts while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and strategic account development. This position requires a consultative, proactive approach to business development, targeting executives and decision-makers at both existing and new client contacts.

Key Responsibilities


  • Client Account Management: Own and manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact from initial engagement through project kickoff and successful execution.
  • Revenue Achievement: Achieve designated sales targets within assigned client accounts, consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly goals.
  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities across RWE Clinical Trials verticals, including patient enrollment, Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT), HEOR, epidemiological studies, and post-marketing studies.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans in partnership with scientific research delivery teams to maximize client value and growth potential.
  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities, including defining solution requirements and recommending pricing structures aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales operations, finance, and internal support functions to drive and close business while achieving sales approval targets.
  • Proposal Development: Lead and contribute to proposal responses, ensuring timely delivery of compelling, client-focused solutions.
  • Bid Defense Coordination: Coordinate bid defense strategies, ensuring proposed offerings align precisely with client objectives.
  • Client Expansion: Identify opportunities within existing accounts to increase account penetration and expand the scope of services.
  • Relationship Building: Foster collaborative, client-facing relationships with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Systems teams to enhance arenaflex's clinical trials market leadership.

Essential Qualifications


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Analytical, sales, or marketing background with concentration in pharmaceutical/biotech/clinical research sectors.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated history of developing mid-to-senior level business contacts and driving revenue growth.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively integrate with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams while nurturing relationships and identifying business opportunities.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Clinical Trials, Decentralized Trials, and RWE trends in the healthcare industry.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to identify and develop prospects, create professional presentations, manage sales cycles through close, and handle contract negotiations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of sales automation systems and advanced Microsoft Office programs.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience collaborating with internal or external resources to develop strategies meeting departmental goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (both within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree or MBA in a related field
  • Deep expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
  • Experience with Market Access strategies
  • Background in pharmaceutical or biotech client relationship management
  • Knowledge of RWE analytics and data collection methodologies
