About the Role

Are you looking to drive impact through quality business experiences and analytics for a rapidly growing, high-impact area of the business? The Global Sourcing Data team at arenaflex is exactly where you need to be. Our team plays a critical role in partnering with sourcing teams across key business areas including Food, Consumables, Health, and Wellness.

As the Chief of Information Investigation and Data Administration, you will oversee and supervise a wide range of critical financial activities including financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business analysis. In this role, you will partner to identify key sourcing opportunities and investment decisions to help deliver annual and long-range plans while influencing and driving better ways of working both within finance and with our colleague teams.

This role will specifically support our efforts to ensure a robust data foundation for the organizations we support, building tools and reporting to enable the finance team to manage business performance more effectively as well as work with the product team to ensure future tools being built support long-term aspirations. You must be comfortable with data, influencing and understanding colleague needs, and working with tools and reports in current software such as PowerBI, Dataiku, and more.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the arenaflex Global Sourcing team, you'll be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that make a real difference. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Driving Key Investigation – Understand key sourcing processes, financial and operational metrics, and business goals and objectives to analyze, interpret, and communicate business performance, identify opportunities, and enable strategic investment decisions.

  • Being a Trusted Advisor – Rapidly develop strong and trusting relationships with internal teams. Partner and participate in business strategy discussions and influence key business decisions with informed recommendations using facts and data.

  • Delivering Data-Driven Analysis – Obtain and gather relevant data; organize and validate data before analysis; consolidate and identify exceptions and patterns in data; combine data in the creation of meaningful client insights; and translate information into actionable plans.

  • Practicing Continuous Process Improvement – Work across the organization to identify and solve problems with a client-oriented mindset, introducing new ideas and influencing positive change.

  • Gaining an Understanding of Sourcing – Demonstrate the ability to learn and stay up to date with an understanding of Global Sourcing and new and innovative solutions to help the business make the best choices.

  • Driving a New Way of Working – Advance our journey to become a more digital and data-driven team by utilizing and supporting data visualization tools to drive the business and teaching our partners to improve adoption.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 2 years' experience leading numerical or statistical research, analysis and modeling knowledge, corporate security, or related area

  • OR 4 years' experience leading numerical or statistical research, analysis and modeling knowledge, corporate security, or related area

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, these qualifications will help you stand out:


  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or similar data visualization tools

  • Experience with Dataproc, Spark, Hive or similar data processing tools

  • Experience with Dataplex, Collibra or similar data governance tools

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source software tools (e.g., R, Python, HiveQL, Spark)

  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

  • Strong influencing and communication skills

  • Detail and results-oriented with need to keep moving

  • Business analysis and reporting experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Statistical modeling software experience
