What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of the arenaflex customer service team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure smooth operations and exceptional passenger experiences. Here's what your day-to-day responsibilities will look like:
- Ticket Processing: Issue, reissue, and refund passenger tickets with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Reservation Management: Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations while providing passengers with detailed itinerary information and travel advice.
- Rebooking Services: Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, handling complex re-accommodation scenarios with professionalism and empathy.
- Passenger Check-In: Perform passenger check-in and front seat assignments (except curbside), correct oversold seat assignments, and issue upgrades as available.
- Support Services: Issue vouchers and provide direction with contractors for passenger lodging, meals, and transportation; coordinate refueling and refreshments when needed.
- Boarding Procedures: Perform passenger boarding, including ticket lift and check-in processes, ensuring a smooth and orderly boarding experience.
- Gate Operations: Operate gate reader/scanner equipment and related duties, including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and managing exit lane procedures.
- Jetway Operations: Operate jetways/bridges for boarding and deplaning passengers, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Announcements: Make boarding and departure gate announcements, keeping passengers informed about flight status, delays, and important information.
- Flight Records: Deliver domestic/international flight documentation and maintain accurate records of all passenger interactions.
- Baggage Services: Accept, check, and tag passengers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and first-class ticket counters.
- Training Support: Participate in hands-on customer service training to develop your skills and support new team members.
- Payment Processing: Process and complete credit card baggage transactions at kiosks in the ticket counter area and activation stations.
- Self-Service Assistance: Assist passengers with self-service kiosk check-in and kiosk baggage handling at ticket counters.
- Queue Management: Manage lines at ticket counter kiosks and ticket counters, ensuring efficient flow and minimal wait times.
- Document Verification: Clear/verify international documents at kiosks in the ticket counter area and activation stations.
- Baggage Activation: Accept and activate passengers' self-tagged bags at activation stations.
- Special Assistance: Help clients requiring special assistance or in-station help; assist with boarding, deplaning, and transporting non-mobile passengers, special needs travelers, and unaccompanied minors.
- Regional Operations: Perform customer service work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or contracts.
- Attendance Requirements: Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance, including meeting any mandatory overtime requirements.
- Emergency Response: Respond and assist during security and emergency situations, following all safety protocols.
- Passenger Guidance: Provide connecting passengers with gate information and wayfinding assistance.
- Quality Service: Deliver high-quality customer care in a professional manner and in accordance with arenaflex guidelines and brand standards.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards, as well as comply with government regulations (including DOT, FAA, and TSA requirements).
- Training Completion: Complete job-relevant phases of training to maintain competency and certifications.
- Uniform Compliance: Wear uniforms as required by company policy, presenting a professional and polished appearance.
Note: Depending on your airport size, you may also perform Passenger Activity Control capabilities including air-to-ground communication, assist international passengers through customs/immigration including baggage recheck, and deliver tickets, international flight reports, and customs/immigration forms.
All You'll Need for Success: Minimum Qualifications
To thrive in this role at arenaflex, you'll need to meet the following essential requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Language Skills: Bilingual language abilities may be required in certain locations.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license as required by local authorities.
- Security Clearances: Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access credentials to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
- Airport Badges: Must be able to obtain appropriate airport authority and US Customs security identifications, if material.
- Background Checks: Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
