About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service they deserve. This is a work-from-home position, but please note that you must reside within a commutable distance of Rapid City, South Dakota, to be considered for this role. While you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, occasional in-person meetings may be required, so proximity to our Rapid City location is essential.

In this position, you'll handle inbound calls from our valued cardholders, maintaining exceptional customer service as your constant goal. You'll be responsible for maintaining up-to-date computerized customer information, resolving inquiries, authorizing sales, and most importantly, building lasting relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues. Your ability to multitask, think on your feet, and provide solutions-oriented support will be key to your success in this role.

What You'll Do


  • Handle Inbound Customer Calls: Respond to incoming calls from cardholders with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Address their questions, concerns, and needs in a timely manner while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Maintain Customer Information: Keep accurate and up-to-date computerized records of customer interactions, transactions, and account details. Ensure all information is entered correctly and securely.

  • Resolve Inquiries and Issues: Troubleshoot customer problems, investigate issues, and provide effective solutions. Navigate multiple systems and databases to find answers and resolve complex inquiries.

  • Authorize Transactions: Process sales authorizations, verify account information, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Build Relationships: Establish rapport with customers, listen actively to their needs, and create personalized experiences that foster loyalty and satisfaction.

  • Meet Performance Metrics: Achieve or exceed key performance indicators related to call handling time, customer satisfaction, resolution rates, and quality scores.

  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless customer service and share best practices.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential Qualifications


  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of six months of customer service experience in any industry is required. Military equivalent experience is also acceptable and valued.

  • Residency Requirement: You must live within a two-and-a-half-hour commute of the Rapid City, South Dakota location. This is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.

  • Technical Proficiency: Confidence in using computers and the ability to manage information across multiple windows simultaneously. You should be comfortable typing while talking on the phone.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and professionally.

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.

  • Background Check and Drug Screen: Must be willing to undergo a drug test, background investigation, and fingerprinting as part of the selection process.

  • Legal Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service-oriented environment

  • Familiarity with financial services or banking industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other productivity software
