The Role: Data Analytics Sales Specialist
Are you ready to take your sales career to the next level while making a tangible impact on public sector organizations? arenaflex is seeking a talented and motivated Data Analytics Sales Specialist to join our growing Public Sector team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of helping government agencies and educational institutions unlock the full potential of their data through our innovative cloud-based analytics solutions.
As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for driving Data Analytics engagement across new and existing arenaflex Cloud accounts. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to public sector leaders, translating complex technical capabilities into business value that helps agencies improve their operations, enhance decision-making, and better serve their constituents.

Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the arenaflex Public Sector team, you will:
- Develop Strategic Data Analytics Plans: Create and execute comprehensive strategies to expand Data Analytics adoption across new arenaflex Cloud accounts. You'll identify opportunities, map stakeholder relationships, and craft tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each organization.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Accelerate Data Analytics intake in existing arenaflex Cloud accounts by identifying upsell opportunities, understanding client challenges, and positioning our solutions as the answer. You'll be instrumental in ramping Data Analytics spend and achieving revenue targets.
- Build Executive Relationships: Establish and maintain C-level relationships with government and education clients. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, influencing strategic direction and acting as the primary point of contact for Data Analytics initiatives.
- Lead Contract Negotiations: Develop business strategies to accelerate agreement cycles in a competitive environment. You'll work closely with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure successful contract closures.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams including solution architects, marketing, and product management to develop innovative approaches for acquiring new Data Analytics clients and workloads.
- Position arenaflex Solutions: Articulate the transformative impact of our data products to help businesses become more productive, collaborative, and mobile. You'll be the voice of arenaflex in the market, showcasing how our technology drives real-world outcomes.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Maintain deep knowledge of cloud data analytics technologies, including AI/ML capabilities, and translate that knowledge into compelling value propositions for clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates your ability to excel in a professional environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience selling information analytics software programs or solutions. You should have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a technology-focused role.
- Direct experience in government-level sales or consulting, specifically working with State and Local Government agencies and Higher Education institutions. Understanding the unique procurement processes and stakeholder dynamics in the public sector is essential.
- Experience with cloud-based (SaaS) technology sales, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex sales cycles and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A customer-centric mindset with a passion for solving complex challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out:
- Experience working with market-leading Business Intelligence front-end tools, Data Analytics Middleware, or back-end Data Warehouse technology.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies integrated into data solutions, including predictive analytics and machine learning applications.
- In-depth understanding of Cloud Data Analytics technology stacks, including:
- Hadoop/Spark Data Lakes
- SQL Data Warehouses
- Data Streaming architectures
- ETL and Data Governance frameworks

- BigQuery and Looker expertise
