As an experienced Data Engineer in our Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) department, you'll be responsible for harnessing the power of data to inform business decisions and drive growth.

  • *Responsibilities**

As a Data Engineer in our Operations Analysis and Performance department, you'll be responsible for:

  • Locating and extracting data from various sources to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Cleaning and curating datasets by identifying new data sources and collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine the best source of data
  • Developing and maintaining data environments to support business needs, including automatic reporting and analysis
  • Leveraging emerging technologies to discover new and innovative ways to communicate data and insights to stakeholders
  • Supporting business development and project control engagements for various business units and cross-functional initiatives
  • Training and mentoring team members on various skills and topics
  • Practicing security-aware behaviors in all operational techniques and procedures

  • *What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns
  • Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages
  • Ability to troubleshoot a reporting database environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines
  • Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems working individually or in a team
  • Consistently prioritizes security and protection of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other applicable quantitative field
  • Previous airline experience
