Position Overview: Data Scientist – AI/ML Developer

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? The Cloud Technologies Application Platform (AP) team at arenaflex is searching for an outstanding AI developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will help design and implement our AI strategy to elevate our developer experience platform to unprecedented heights and accelerate application development within our organization.

You will collaborate with multi-functional teams and apply cutting-edge algorithms to large-scale data. What You'll Do

Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions to solve complex business challenges

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI engineers, software programmers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions

Work on our Generative AI-based developer experience platform for internal use

Apply advanced ML algorithms, deep learning techniques, and large language models to real-world problems

Implement transformer architecture and vector embeddings to address various business needs

Ensure data quality through thorough analysis, handling missing values, detecting outliers, and evaluating model performance

Validate results and interpret findings to provide actionable, data-driven recommendations

Select appropriate ML algorithms, train models, and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve optimal predictive performance

Experience with training models or using foundation models with retraining or fine-tuning for custom needs

Present experimental results in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences

Translate complex AI model capabilities into digestible information for stakeholders across the organization

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI infrastructure and development processes

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in the software industry with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Programming Expertise: Highly proficient in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL

Data Infrastructure: Experience with distributed stores including S3, Flash, and Vector Databases

ML Deployment: Proven experience with model deployment for experimentation in production environments

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with advanced ML algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models (LLMs)

Architecture Skills: Deep understanding of transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve diverse business problems

Data Analysis: Ability to ensure data quality through analysis, handle missing values, identify outliers, evaluate model performance, validate results, and interpret findings to provide actionable recommendations

Model Development: Capability to choose suitable ML algorithms, train models, and calibrate hyperparameters for optimal predictive performance

Fine-tuning Experience: Hands-on experience training models or using foundation models with retraining or fine-tuning to meet custom requirements

Communication: Exceptional ability to present experimental results clearly and effectively, with the skill to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying ML techniques specifically in developer productivity environments

Previous work with generative AI platforms and tools

Familiarity with cloud-based ML services and infrastructure

Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices

Experience building internal developer tools or platforms

Strong research background with publications or contributions to open-source projects
