Position Overview

The Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for leading our analytics function, coordinating strategic initiatives, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership capabilities who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform business strategy and operational excellence.

As the Director of Data Analytics at arenaflex, you will oversee the development and implementation of analytical frameworks, lead cross-functional teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for data-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the arenaflex leadership team, the Director of Data Analytics will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership: Build and implement comprehensive analytical strategies and frameworks that address major strategic challenges, leveraging existing resources while developing innovative approaches to emerging business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams, partnering with stakeholders across departments to develop and execute data-driven solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Business Partnership: Advise key stakeholders on analytical best practices and subject matter expertise, translating business needs into actionable analytical strategies that align with departmental goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop short-term and long-range strategies, plans, and measurable goals that drive organizational success, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze performance drivers, proactively identify strategic opportunities, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and achieve business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex analytical findings to senior leadership, translating technical insights into business recommendations that support informed decision-making.
  • External Relationship Management: Collaborate with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships that support organizational objectives.
  • Performance Management: Set financial, operational, and quality objectives for the analytics function, developing and supervising operational plans that ensure goal achievement.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor the competitive marketplace, analyzing market trends and making recommendations for strategic and operational adjustments based on identified insights.
  • Budget Oversight: May develop and manage budgets for the analytics function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fiscal responsibility.
  • Team Leadership: Direct teams responsible for daily analytics operations, overseeing and coordinating the work of managers, senior professionals, and their teams. Ensure ongoing training and professional development of direct reports.
  • Staff Development: Develop and mentor team members through effective onboarding, open communication, training opportunities, and performance management processes. Build and maintain high team morale and motivation.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:


  • Strategic Relationship Building: Minimum 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal stakeholders (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external partners (business community, clients, and vendors) to develop strategies that meet division objectives within budget and timelines.
  • Strategic Initiative Development: Experience developing strategic initiatives that align with business objectives and budgetary constraints, demonstrating the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Problem Resolution: Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing effective strategies to resolve challenges and improve performance.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive results across departmental boundaries.
  • Executive Communication: Experience communicating effectively at the executive level, presenting complex information clearly and persuasively to senior leadership.
  • Client-Facing Programs: Experience managing client-facing programs, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Financial Acumen: At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace, with the ability to understand and analyze financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Management Experience: At least 2 years of direct management experience, demonstrating skills in leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team guidance.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes, including both intra-state and inter-state travel.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following additional qualifications will be strongly preferred:


  • Advanced degree/MBA in a related field

  • Experience with advanced coding languages (such as SAS, SQL, C++, Python, R, or similar)

  • Experience with platform administration (such as Salesforce.com, Vendavo, Vistaar, SharePoint, or similar)

  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools for data analysis (such as Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

  • Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and training less senior colleagues

  • Experience designing and executing financial models for complex business initiatives

  • Experience communicating with executive-level leadership both internally and to client organizations

  • Project management experience (planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific project goals)

  • Experience with systems such as Cerner and GIS

  • Experience with data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, data warehouse management, and statistical concepts
