- *Job Summary**
As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing technical support to content teams, creating reference materials and training programs to help them get up to speed with our toolset, and solving and debugging issues with tools and workflows. You will also work closely with our tools engineering team to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, and will partner with other engineers to drive features from initial concept to completion.
- *Essential Functions/Responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with tools and workflows
- Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, including developing documentation and training programs
- Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, and escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team
- Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, and work with production to track these issues in JIRA
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, and guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, including working with external partners and stakeholders
- *Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read and understand C# code, and experience with Unity 3D game and tool development
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners and stakeholders
- Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
- Excellent organization skills, including prioritizing and managing numerous requests simultaneously
- Self-motivating, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, and iOS and Android mobile development experience
- *Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of software development principles and practices
- 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of problem-solving and collaboration
- *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and other work-related activities during this time. We are a remote-friendly company, and we offer flexible work arrangements to support our employees' needs.
