• *Job Description:**

As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, including data warehousing, data pipelines, and data governance. You will work closely with our data scientists, data analysts, and product managers to ensure that our data solutions are aligned with business objectives and meet the needs of our customers.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Design and develop advanced data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders
• Develop and maintain data warehousing and data pipeline architectures using cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, and Snowflake
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and product managers to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business objectives and meet the needs of our customers
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-related projects and initiatives
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of data solutions and changes to ensure data quality and governance
• Ensure high functional productivity and quality of data solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our customers (Data Science, Data Analysis groups)
• Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practices to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team

• *Key Capabilities:**

• Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
• Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
• Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Strong experience in data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
• Strong knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and procedures
• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
• You are a problem solver with strong analytical and relational skills
• Ideal to have experience with cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)

• *Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, and Snowflake
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
• Experience with data integration toolsets and data pipelines
• Strong analytical and relational skills
