Position Overview


As an IT Services Technician at arenaflex, you will be an integral member of our Information Technology team, responsible for providing comprehensive end-user computing support. This role encompasses hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, maintenance of desktop systems and peripherals, and ensuring optimal performance of workstation equipment. You will serve as the first line of technical support for our employees, resolving issues with professionalism, efficiency, and a customer-centric approach.

You will be responsible for managing tickets and work orders, responding to helpdesk inquiries, and contributing to large-scale desktop deployment projects. Key Responsibilities


As an IT Services Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of technical and customer-facing duties, including:


  • Ticket Resolution: Resolve and close tickets and work orders supporting end-user desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Helpdesk Support: Respond to and address customer care issues raised from the Service Desk, providing professional and effective technical assistance.

  • Project Contribution: Contribute to desktop deployment projects, including global installations and system upgrades, serving as a valued project team member.

  • Remote Troubleshooting: Remotely diagnose and resolve technical requests using remote access tools, minimizing downtime for end-users.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Investigate and collaborate with various departments to resolve complex system-related issues and ensure seamless operations.

  • Documentation: Document all client interactions in the incident management system, including comprehensive asset management records.

  • Data Management: Perform data recovery from hard disk drives and execute data migration tasks as required to protect critical business information.

  • Remote Access Support: Support remote access for virtual private network (VPN) connectivity and remote/broadband network configurations for workstations.

  • Printer Configuration: Install and configure local and network-based printers, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality.

  • Backup Operations: Perform backup support operations to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

  • Flexibility: Work various shifts, weekends, and be available for on-call emergency response and travel as required by business needs.

  • Compliance: Follow management direction, adhering to IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support departmental objectives and organizational goals.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience and training.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on, practical IT work experience supporting and resolving various desktop software and hardware issues in a professional environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Firsthand experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds as part of regular job duties involving hardware installation and equipment handling.

Preferred Qualifications


Candidates with the following qualifications will be given additional consideration:


  • Certifications: A+ certification is preferred.

  • Advanced Certifications: MCSE/MCP certification is a significant plus.

  • Industry Experience: Previous IT infrastructure experience in an airline or airport environment is highly desirable.

Required Skills, Licenses, and Certificates



  • General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 and current versions.

  • Familiarity with workflow processes and tagging systems for asset management.

  • Understanding of VPN networks and the ability to troubleshoot related connectivity issues.

  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with colleagues and end-users.
