About the Role

The Commitment Analysis team at arenaflex is seeking a talented Lead Analysis Designer to join our dynamic analytics family. In this pivotal role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to transform raw data into actionable information, translate insights into strategic business decisions, and help steer the company's strategic direction. As our Lead Data Analyst, you will guide the team in its reporting plans and data strategy. You'll mentor analysts to build cutting-edge tooling and communicate effectively with our partners across the broader arenaflex ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in driving the use of analytics as a core value generator across our entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Performance Reporting & Visualization: Serve as the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand platform performance. When metrics deviate from expectations—whether ahead or behind—dive deep to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help improve business performance or double down on successes.
• Reporting and Tooling Strategy: Lead the team in creating meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across all streaming platforms, ensuring accuracy and relevance at scale.
• BI Performance Excellence: Drive reporting for exceptionally large-scale data environments. Act as a subject matter expert for professionals across the team while collaborating with Data Engineering to design and build high-performance ETLs, intermediate tables, and beautiful, fast-loading dashboards using industry-leading tools.
• Creating a Single Source of Truth: Partner with our Governance team to bring together analysts and stakeholders from across the organization to define and standardize the metrics by which we assess product performance.
• ETL and Metric Design: Own metric design and production by defining business requirements, structuring and optimizing data, and ensuring long-term data scalability.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business partners to identify and understand what drives their decisions, and partner with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field


• Expertise developing data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Chartio, or similar platforms


• 7+ years of analytical experience, ideally specifically in analysis engineering


• Mastery of SQL, with some experience in SparkSQL, Hive, or equivalent technologies


• Substantial experience with OLAP databases like Snowflake or Redshift


• Experience developing and maintaining aggregated tables for reporting through ETLs


• Project and resource management experience, defining objectives and schedules, and coordinating work across multiple sponsors


• Proficiency in Python/R or other statistical programming languages


• Exceptional drive and passion for delivering outstanding products


• Strong interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal presentation abilities and experience presenting to diverse audiences

• Experience in the streaming media, entertainment, or technology sectors


• Knowledge of modern data stack technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms

Compensation & Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $136,100 to $182,400 per year, and in New York, NY is $142,600 to $191,100 per year. The base salary actually offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

Additionally, you may be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive units as part of the comprehensive compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, subject to the level and position advertised.
