We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Marketing Expert to fill a part-time position within our category management division at arenaflex. Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing Expert at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our category strategies. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve customers effectively while driving profitable growth. Here's what you can expect to do:
- Drive Sales and Margin Performance: Contribute directly to achieving sales and margin objectives within your assigned product categories, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize category performance.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze relevant market data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for Class Plans, including optimal SKU assortment strategies, Extracare loyalty program initiatives, and special promotional projects that resonate with our customers.
- Strategic Execution: Lead the implementation of daily planogram activities, including off-rack display designs, tracking promotional periods, and conducting post-analysis to make timely corrective actions when necessary.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams across Stock, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Advertising, and Store Operations to ensure cohesive execution of category strategies.
- Sales and Inventory Analysis: Examine sales records and inventory levels of current stock to identify trends, optimize stock turns, and minimize out-of-stock situations that impact customer satisfaction.
- Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a strong understanding of the current competitive landscape, identify new competitive opportunities, and develop recommendations to strengthen arenaflex's market position.
- Market Research: Stay current with market changes, consumer trends, and industry developments that impact category performance and customer preferences.
- Customer and Supplier Intelligence: Research customer product preferences, analyze supplier pricing dynamics, and monitor the competitive environment to inform strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Retail Math Proficiency: Working knowledge of retail math concepts with demonstrated practical application in previous roles. You should be comfortable analyzing margins, markups, turn rates, and other key retail metrics.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access or other database systems is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel approximately 5-10% of the time for team meetings, store visits, and strategic planning sessions.
