As a Member Services Representative, you'll be an integral part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's services. Your daily tasks will include:
- Completing data access and balancing tasks to ensure accurate financial records
- Coordinating return items with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases and sports assigned to you
- Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
- Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process wire transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer regulations
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member draft changes, processing member checks, verifying members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
- *What You'll Need for Success**
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or banking experience (preferably in a credit union setting)
- Familiarity with Episys/Symitar and wire processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
