**Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – International Freight Forwarding and Logistics**

• *Job Summary:**

As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes, enhancing the development of the ocean product, and promoting the arenaflex ocean product. You'll work closely with the MD of Ocean, the Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations to execute strategies that maximize competitiveness, enhance service, and support adherence to the preferred network. Your expertise will be essential in implementing pricing programs, analyzing carrier service, routings, and carrier performance, and supporting carrier service issues.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product
• Work closely with the MD of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and analyzing carrier service, routings, and carrier performance
• Assist in implementing pricing programs and reviewing volume targets
• Develop an ocean strategy that enhances the effectiveness of sales to achieve expectations of account development and yield enhancement
• Communicate both internally and externally to outline strategy, market conditions, and work closely with the MD, Ocean, along with the Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations to communicate direction and deliverables
• Direct and indirect customer contact will be required
• Work closely with Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures to minimize arenaflex's risk exposure and enhance service quality and achieve volume targets
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity; submit reports as required
• Work with the MD, Ocean, along with the Regional Ocean Management Team, to promote the ocean product
• Support Sales and Operations as needed
• Manage annual budget; control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
• Work closely with Marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product

• *Essential Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Familiar with Microsoft Office apps
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• *Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience in developing and implementing pricing programs
• Knowledge of ocean carrier service, routings, and carrier performance
• Experience in managing annual budgets and controlling, monitoring, and reporting results
• Familiarity with the Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations processes
