As a Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Data Entry Specialist (Remote), you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our specialty mail order pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and entering patient data into our computer system, including dosage calculations, medication assignments, and payment processing. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will enable you to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Review and interpret patient data, including medication orders, dosages, and payment information
  • Enter accurate and complete patient data into our computer system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Contact healthcare professionals and insurance companies to verify patient information and resolve any discrepancies
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve any issues related to medication orders or payment processing
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and medication orders
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with regulatory requirements and industry developments
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • Current Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-Based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • At least 6 months of experience working as a pharmacy technician
  • At least 90 days of experience handling and resolving customer inquiries via telephone
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and coding
  • Experience with clinical charging, coding, and other clinical support roles
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment, with strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency in multiple computer applications, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems
  • Excellent data entry skills and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
