What You'll Do

As an Engineer L2 on our A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our aircraft operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Operational Awareness: Stay informed of day-to-day airline operations within your field of responsibility, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of how your work impacts overall flight operations, schedule adherence, and passenger satisfaction.
  • Priority Assessment: Evaluate and prioritize daily tasks in alignment with organizational objectives and management directives, ensuring that critical issues receive immediate attention while balancing multiple competing demands.
  • Problem Investigation: Investigate aircraft and component problems that may cause delays, cancellations, or require substantial expenditures in manpower or materials. Identify root causes and determine appropriate corrective actions to restore normal operations quickly and efficiently.
  • Technical Disposition: Provide expert Engineering support for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components. Your technical expertise will be crucial in restoring serviceable status and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Respond promptly to requests from Maintenance and other departments when technical assistance is required to support special projects or resolve complex problems. Your collaborative approach will help break down silos and drive effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Develop comprehensive action plans for fleet-wide, multi-fleet, and component engineering projects. Pursue final dispositions according to assessed priorities, ensuring timely completion and measurable outcomes.
  • Departmental Coordination: Work closely with other airline departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions. Your communication skills will be essential in facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed Engineering documents that implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that deliver measurable benefits aligned with departmental objectives.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, particularly those related to the A319/A320/A321 family or similar transport category aircraft.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
