Posted 2026-05-06Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Lead Instructional Designer to join their fully remote education team. This pivotal role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of engaging and effective learning experiences for diverse audiences. You will lead the instructional design process, from needs analysis and curriculum development to content creation and evaluation. Leveraging adult learning principles and cutting-edge technologies, you will create high-impact learning solutions. This remote position requires strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment. Responsibilities include:
Leading the end-to-end design and development of engaging e-learning courses, workshops, and training materials. Applying adult learning theories (e.g., ADDIE, SAM models) to create effective and measurable learning outcomes. Conducting learning needs assessments and gap analyses to identify key training requirements. Developing learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods. Creating compelling course content, including scripts, storyboards, interactive exercises, and assessments. Utilizing authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to build interactive e-learning modules. Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Managing multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs and making recommendations for improvement. Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and online learning. Mentoring and guiding junior instructional designers. Ensuring all learning materials are accessible and compliant with relevant standards. This fully remote role requires excellent virtual communication, collaboration, and project management capabilities.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role. Proven expertise in developing engaging e-learning content for various platforms. Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Strong understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development methodologies. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting. Experience with multimedia development is a plus.
