This role will operate within the broader state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Modernization Program, with responsibilities under the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) framework. The Testing Lead will ensure seamless testing coordination, quality assurance, and collaboration across various modular contractors involved in the project, focusing on data integration, transformation, and reporting through the Snowflake-based EDW module.Responsibilities:Lead and manage testing efforts for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) module, built on Snowflake, ensuring alignment with state Medicaid Modernization Program goals and Enterprise Quality Program (EQP) standardsCollaborate with the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) to support centralized test management across multiple modules and contractorsDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases, with a focus on System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Snowflake EDW moduleDesign and implement test cases for data validation, data transformation, data integration, and data quality within SnowflakeCoordinate closely with module contractors to ensure testing activities align with overall program requirements, standards, and federal/state Medicaid regulationsMonitor and report on testing progress, risks, and issues to program administrators, ensuring transparency and supporting informed decision-makingEnsure critical bugs and defects in data processing, transformation, and reporting are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner before moving to production, escalating issues to the Agency as neededImplement risk-based testing strategies, including regression testing, to ensure the stability and performance of the Snowflake EDW moduleCollaborate with development teams and other module leads to ensure seamless integration of the EDW module with other MES modulesFacilitate UAT with stakeholders, including the Agency and providers, ensuring the EDW module meets business and regulatory requirementsMentor and guide junior testers within the TCOE framework, promoting best practices and adherence to standards, especially in the Snowflake environmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field7+ years of experience in Medicaid systems testing, with specific expertise in data warehouse modules, data integration, and ETL processesStrong experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing technologiesExperience working within a Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modernization program or similar large-scale Medicaid projectsProven experience leading testing efforts for complex Medicaid MMIS projects, including coordination across multiple contractors and modulesStrong knowledge of CMS regulations and CMS certification processes for Medicaid programsProficiency in using testing tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira, Selenium) and defect tracking systemsExcellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with experience working within a Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) or similar centralized testing modelAbility to work independently and handle multiple testing projects simultaneouslyStrong understanding of System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologiesFamiliarity with SQL and data validation testing in a Snowflake environment, including the ability to validate ETL jobs, data pipelines, and reporting outputsPreferred:Experience working on Medicaid modernization projects within a modular architecture frameworkCertification in quality testing, such as ISTQB or CSTEKnowledge of data governance and data security practices within a cloud-based EDW, particularly SnowflakeS2Tech is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
