Role Overview: Be the Face of Arenaflex
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional member experiences. You'll be responsible for providing superior customer service to our valued members, prospective new members, and guests, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to the judgment-free philosophy that defines our brand.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, making it ideal for students, individuals seeking supplemental income, or anyone who wants to be part of a supportive team while maintaining work-life balance. You'll work closely with our club management team to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain the high standards our members expect.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Phone Excellence: Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly, professional manner while following established scripts and providing accurate information to callers regarding membership options, club amenities, policies, and special promotions.
- Warm Welcomes: Greet members and guests as they enter the club with a genuine smile and positive attitude. Make everyone feel welcome and appreciated from the moment they arrive.
- New Member Integration: Assist with sign-ups and provide comprehensive tours to prospective members, explaining our facilities, equipment, classes, and membership options to help them make informed decisions about joining our fitness community.
- Amenity Management: Accurately log and track club amenities usage, ensuring proper documentation and availability of services for our members.
- Concern Resolution: Respond to member questions, concerns, and feedback in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner. Go above and beyond to resolve issues and ensure member satisfaction.
- Point of Sale Operations: Process beverage, merchandise, and other purchases through our point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Class Promotion: Promote our unique fitness instruction classes and programs to both current members and prospective sign-ups, helping them discover new ways to enhance their fitness journey.
- Facility Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe club environment throughout your shift. This includes regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces, equipment sanitation, and ensuring all areas meet our rigorous hygiene standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintenance of a secure environment for members and staff.
Qualifications: What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required – we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with technology
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced work environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or fitness industry is a plus
- Familiarity with membership management systems or point-of-sale software
- Understanding of fitness center operations and equipment
- Spanish or other language proficiency is beneficial
Physical Demands: Ready for Action
This role requires physical activity throughout your shift. You'll be on your feet for extended periods and should be comfortable with:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling – you may need to move equipment, supplies, or merchandise
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds when necessary for club operations
- Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals (appropriate training and protective equipment provided)
- Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during cleaning rounds and equipment setup
- Continual reaching with hands, fingers, and arms for various tasks throughout your shift

- Regular Pay Increases: Hourly wage increases at 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months after your first year, based on your anniversary date
