Position Overview: Part Time Ski & Snowboard Rental Technician

We're currently seeking enthusiastic customer service representatives to join our team in the beautiful Vail Valley, serving guests at Vail and Beaver Creek resorts. This is a part-time position with incredible perks, including flexible scheduling and an Alterra Mountain Company ski pass that opens the door to unlimited skiing at Steamboat, Winter Park, Mammoth, Palisades, Solitude, and many other incredible destinations!

No prior experience is required! We provide comprehensive training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to excel in your role. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Part Time Ski & Snowboard Rental Technician at arenaflex, your workdays will be anything but boring. Each shift brings new challenges and opportunities to connect with guests and ensure their mountain experience exceeds expectations. Here's what you can expect:

On-Road Responsibilities (Customer Deliveries):

• Deliver ski and snowboard rental equipment directly to guests' accommodations, including hotels, rental homes, and condos throughout the Vail Valley


• Arrive at delivery locations at least five minutes before the agreed-upon time to ensure punctual service


• Select the appropriate equipment for each guest, carefully choosing items in the best condition to match their skill level and preferences


• Communicate clearly with guests about the entire service process, setting expectations for delivery, support, and pickup


• Provide ongoing equipment support throughout guests' stays, addressing any issues or concerns promptly


• Collect all equipment after guests' final day on the mountain, ensuring a seamless conclusion to their rental experience


• Maintain the delivery vehicle by regularly refueling, washing the exterior, and keeping the interior clean and organized

Shop Responsibilities (Behind the Scenes):

• Pack and prepare orders for next-day deliveries, ensuring all equipment and accessories are accounted for


• Perform basic ski tuning, waxing, and general maintenance to keep our equipment in top condition


• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop space, creating an efficient work environment


• Restock delivery vans with extra equipment, accessories, and supplies as needed


• Answer incoming customer calls and make outgoing calls to confirm reservations, address questions, and provide exceptional customer support

Shift Details and Schedule

We offer flexible shift options to accommodate your lifestyle and maximize your time enjoying the mountains:

• AM Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM


• PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Our scheduling philosophy is designed to help you get out skiing or riding on your days off! Whether you prefer early morning fresh tracks or afternoon powder laps, our flexible shifts make it possible to balance work and play. Full-time team members work approximately 5 shifts per week, but we're happy to discuss part-time arrangements that fit your availability.

Compensation and Perks

We believe in rewarding our team members for their hard work and dedication. Here's what you can expect as a part-time arenaflex team member:

• Competitive Base Wage: $18/hour base pay


• Tips: Plus customer tips, with the average total earnings ranging from $25-$33 per hour for the 22/23 season (excluding cash tips pocketed)


• Ski Pass: Receive an Alterra Mountain Company ski pass on your start date, providing unlimited skiing at Steamboat, Winter Park, Mammoth, Palisades, Solitude, and all other Alterra locations nationwide

Qualifications We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (you'll be driving company vehicles)
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (ski boots, skis, snowboards, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
• Strong attention to detail when selecting and preparing equipment
• Reliability and punctuality—our guests count on us!
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications (But Not Required!):

• Previous customer service experience in any industry


• Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, sizing, and functionality


• Basic mechanical skills for simple equipment maintenance


• Familiarity with the Vail Valley area and surrounding resort communities


• Bilingual abilities (Spanish is always a plus!)
