Position Overview
This is a contract position starting on January 8, 2024, and ending on July 7, 2024. The successful candidate will work on-site at our Milpitas, CA facility and will be compensated at a competitive rate of $25-$27 per hour. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in hardware data management and evidence handling within a professional corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hardware Data Entry Consultant at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of important tasks that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our hardware inventory and evidence management systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Hardware Data Review and Entry: Systematically review computer hardware components, with particular emphasis on hard disk drives, and accurately enter relevant data into Excel spreadsheets and our web-based evidence management system. This involves carefully examining each component, documenting specifications, and ensuring all information is recorded precisely.
- Data Verification and Validation: Compare the content stored on hard drives with historical reports and inventory records to confirm that data matches exactly. Identify and document any discrepancies between current findings and historical documentation, flagging issues for further investigation by the appropriate team members.
- Chain of Custody Management: Maintain rigorous chain of custody documentation for all electronic devices received from employees, whether delivered internally through interdepartmental channels or received via mail. Ensure all devices are properly logged, tracked, and accounted for throughout their lifecycle within the evidence management process.
- Evidence Handling: Handle new evidence following best practices in evidence management, strictly adhering to all legal and compliance policies and procedures. This includes proper labeling, storage, handling, and documentation of all digital evidence to ensure admissibility and integrity.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare comprehensive Excel documents following specific templates designed for our web-based evidence management system. Ensure all required fields are completed accurately and that documentation meets the exacting standards required for legal and compliance purposes.
- Data Upload Verification: Review all data entered into the web-based evidence management system to verify successful uploads and data integrity. Perform quality control checks to ensure information has been accurately transferred from source documents to the digital system.
- Documentation Reconciliation: Conduct thorough verification that physical documentation and electronic devices match exactly what is being reported in our systems and what has been received. Resolve any inconsistencies promptly and escalate complex issues as needed.
- High-Volume Data Entry: Handle high volumes of data input from various documentation sources, including manually transcribed information such as employee names, identification numbers, and other relevant identifiers. Accurately input this information into our tracking applications with speed and precision.
- Policy Compliance: Maintain continuous awareness of and strict adherence to all data handling, safety, and security policies and procedures. Participate in required training sessions and stay updated on evolving compliance requirements.
