About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with strong expertise in PHP and modern frameworks to lead our engineering team, drive technical excellence, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers in an agile environment.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, testing, security, and DevOps workflows.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance for mission-critical systems.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth releases.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce high engineering standards.
  • Drive technical decisions, architecture discussions, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Contribute hands-on in PHP/Laravel projects when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in PHP development.
  • Proven expertise with modern PHP frameworks, Laravel (4+ years) required.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (Docker, containers, server monitoring, cloud services).
  • Some frontend development knowledge, especially React.js.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and team management via Jira.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem solving at scale.
  • Knowledge of CakePHP is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD/BDD approaches.
  • Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL and ORM design.
  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite).
  • Familiarity with API authentication and security standards (OAuth2, JWT, Sanctum).
  • Contribution to open-source projects or strong GitHub portfolio.
