Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Saalex Corporation is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role involves processing expense reports, managing accounts payable activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Process and review employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance
- Ensure all required receipts are attached for processing, if not already submitted, and follow up with employees as required
- Enter and manage accounts payable (AP) invoices, including coding, data entry, and routing for approval
- Perform data entry and maintenance of records within Costpoint
- Assist with vendor setup and maintenance, including verifying required documentation
- Monitor and track outstanding payables and follow up on discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to expenses and AP transactions
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Perform general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
- May require extended periods of computer use
- Other duties as assigned or required
Skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required
- 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
