Position Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Member Services team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will provide telephone assistance to arenaflex Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries with professionalism and empathy. You will be the frontline ambassador of our brand, ensuring that every caller receives the exceptional service they deserve.

This position requires you to live within 50 miles of Charleston, WV, as you may need to commute to our office location when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems. However, the majority of your work will be conducted from the comfort of your home office, giving you the flexibility you need to balance work and life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, your primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding customer service to every caller. Your daily activities will include:


  • Answering inbound member and provider calls: You will handle incoming telephone inquiries from Medicaid members and health care providers, responding promptly and professionally to their questions and concerns.

  • Benefits and eligibility assistance: You will help callers understand their health care benefits, verify eligibility status, and guide them through the enrollment process.

  • Provider changes and network inquiries: Assist members with changing their health care providers, understanding network limitations, and finding in-network professionals.

  • ID card requests: Process requests for identification cards and ensure members receive their documentation promptly.

  • Prior authorization guidance: Help callers understand prior authorization requirements and assist them in navigating the approval process for specific medical services.

  • Extra benefits and programs: Inform members about additional benefits, wellness programs, and resources available to them through their health plan.

  • Documentation and follow-up: Maintain accurate records of all interactions, escalate complex issues when necessary, and ensure proper follow-up on pending requests.

  • Quality assurance: Meet or exceed performance standards for call quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity metrics.

Technical Requirements

To succeed in this remote role, you must have a reliable home office setup that meets our technical specifications:


  • High-speed internet connectivity with secure service via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted for security reasons)

  • A dedicated workspace free from distractions

  • The ability to maintain a professional environment during work hours

  • Technical proficiency with computer systems and ability to navigate multiple software applications

arenaflex provides all necessary equipment, including a computer, headset, and any additional hardware required to perform your job effectively. You will also receive comprehensive training to ensure you are confident in using our systems and processes.

Training and Schedule

We invest in your success from day one. The training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in your role:


  • Training Duration: Six weeks of intensive training

  • Training Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday

  • Production Schedule: Upon completion of training, your regular schedule will be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday

During the training period, you will learn about our products, systems, and customer service best practices. Our experienced trainers will guide you through every aspect of the role, ensuring you feel supported and prepared to handle any situation that comes your way.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:


  • Residence within 50 miles of Charleston, WV

  • Ability to commute to the office in Charleston, WV when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems

  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with members and providers

  • Excellent written communication skills for documentation purposes

  • Self-sufficiency and ability to work independently from a home office

  • Ability to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:


  • Previous experience working remotely in a call center setting

  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs

  • Prior experience in health care customer service

  • Knowledge of health insurance terminology and processes

  • Experience with high-volume call environments
