We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Remote Part-Time Chat Moderator** to join our growing team at arenaflex. ## Key Responsibilities

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities that directly impact the experience of thousands of community members. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Content Management: Review, evaluate, and take appropriate action on user-generated messages posted within our Discord server. This includes removing or deleting messages that violate our community guidelines, terms of service, or established rules. You will exercise sound judgment to determine when content crosses the line and requires intervention.
• User Account Management: Implement disciplinary actions for users who repeatedly violate community rules. This involves issuing temporary or permanent bans to accounts that demonstrate persistent disregard for our guidelines, as well as applying temporary mutes to users who have committed minor violations.
• User Muting & Temporary Restrictions: Apply mute restrictions to users who violate rules, ensuring that the duration of the mute is proportional to the severity of the offense. You will document these actions and communicate clearly with users about why their privileges have been restricted.
• Report Investigation: Thoroughly investigate reports submitted by community members regarding potential rule violations. This requires reviewing conversation histories, evaluating context, and determining the appropriate course of action based on established protocols. You will document findings and ensure that all reports are addressed in a timely manner.
• Community Engagement: Foster a positive community atmosphere by greeting new members, answering questions about server rules, and providing guidance to help users understand and follow community standards. Your approach should be professional, courteous, and focused on education rather than punishment whenever possible.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all moderation actions, including warnings issued, users banned, and patterns of behavior observed. Regular reporting to team leadership will help us continuously improve our community management strategies.
• Policy Adaptation: Stay current with emerging trends in online community management, potential security threats, and evolving best practices. Contribute ideas for improving our moderation processes and community guidelines.

## Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
• Educational Background: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) certificate.
• Technical Proficiency: Must have experience using Discord platform features, including server management tools, moderation bots, and user roles. Familiarity with Discord's Nitro features and advanced server capabilities is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and respectfully. You must be able to defuse tense situations and interact with users from diverse backgrounds.
