What You Will Do

As a Part-Time Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for planning and executing cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of data sets used for data mining, text mining, and analysis. Your work will directly enable informed business decisions across all levels of the organization. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Apply statistical analysis techniques to examine both structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. You will gain deep insights into key business issues and trends, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.


• Solution Development: With moderate guidance, create solutions from initial concept to production. This includes designing analysis frameworks, developing models, and implementing analytical approaches that address specific business challenges.


• Technology Utilization: Utilize current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop meaningful insights and recommendations for management. You will leverage your understanding of our business model and the information available for analysis to drive innovation.


• Decision Support: Regularly use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, limited modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making across the organization. Your insights will influence strategic planning and operational improvements.


• Communication & Presentation: Communicate results to a broad range of audiences, including executive leadership. You must be able to translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders at all levels.


• Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide less senior staff and work on cross-functional projects and initiatives. You will contribute to building a culture of data literacy and analytical thinking throughout the organization.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who combines strong technical skills with excellent business awareness. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication with team members and stakeholders across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance.


• Professional Experience: Three (3) years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics.


• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in analysis software and applications. You should be comfortable working with various data analysis tools and platforms.


• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments and levels of the organization.


• Written & Oral Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be able to present complex information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills & Experience

While not required, the following skills and experience would be considered a significant plus:

• Experience or coursework in SAFE Agile methodologies


• Experience with requirements gathering and documentation


• Strong foundation in probability and statistics


• Proficiency in TSQL/PLSQL for database querying


• Knowledge of Python or R programming languages


• Experience with mathematical analysis and categorical data analysis


• Microsoft Azure platform experience


• Microsoft Power Platform proficiency


• Alteryx experience for advanced data analytics


• Automation skills for streamlining analytical processes
