Remote Real Estate Portfolio Manager (4-Month Contract)

Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a Associate Director of Portfolio Management to provide short-term coverage for an established portfolio during a planned leave. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day portfolio performance, asset strategy execution, and stakeholder communication across a diversified real estate portfolio.

This is a fully remote opportunity offering high visibility and the chance to work alongside a sophisticated investment team.

Location: Remote (preference for candidates local to Dallas TX!)

Duration: 4-Month W2 Contract (Leave Coverage)

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and monitor performance of a diversified real estate portfolio, ensuring alignment with investment objectives
• Analyze asset-level financials, including cash flow, NOI, and variance reporting
• Partner with asset management, acquisitions, and finance teams to support strategic initiatives
• Prepare and present portfolio performance reports to internal stakeholders and leadership
• Oversee budget tracking, forecasting, and capital planning activities
• Evaluate market trends and provide insights to inform portfolio strategy
• Coordinate with third-party property managers and operators to ensure operational efficiency
• Support risk management efforts and ensure compliance with internal policies

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in real estate portfolio management, asset management, or investment analysis
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals (office, industrial, retail, or multifamily)
• Experience analyzing financial statements, valuations, and investment performance metrics
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior stakeholders
