The Role: IT Business Analyst – IT Facilities & Infrastructure

Are you ready to take your IT career to new altitudes? We're searching for an experienced IT Business Analyst to provide expert IT administration, project management, and operational support for our critical infrastructure that powers arenaflex's airport communication spaces and IT facilities operations. This is a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes of a world-class airline, ensuring the seamless operation of the technology that keeps millions of travelers connected every day.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the IT Administration of all site implementations, inventories, system planning, accompanying, preventive maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certificate labs, and remote communication room critical climate equipment. You'll be the backbone of our IT Offices Group, ensuring that every piece of technology—from servers to networking equipment—operates at peak performance.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our IT Offices team, you'll tackle a variety of challenging and rewarding responsibilities:


  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee IT administration of all site implementations, inventories, and system planning. Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies for data center critical infrastructure, IT certificate labs, and remote communication room equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • IT Labs Support: Provide comprehensive IT support for our IT labs, ensuring our client application and engineering teams have access to properly configured workstations, hardware, and testing environments for their critical application development work.
  • Remote Coordination: Coordinate remotely with professional services teams responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication locations, ensuring rapid response and resolution of any issues.
  • Facilities Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the management, operation, support, and monitoring of all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment, maintaining the highest standards of reliability and performance.
  • Standards Development: Develop and maintain data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all locations.
  • Network Infrastructure Support: Support the IT Offices grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring—a critical component of our operational backbone.
  • Policy and Compliance: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, regulations, and procedures while ensuring full compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Capital Project Management: Lead project management for data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facilities services while ensuring accurate documentation, securing competitive pricing for products and services, and guaranteeing that vendors meet their contractual obligations.
  • Capacity Planning: Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity to optimize infrastructure utilization while maintaining redundancy and reliability standards.
  • Infrastructure Design: Oversee the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor maintenance, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
  • Incident Management: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center hardware.
  • Standards Creation: Develop Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, HVAC, Generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.
  • Change Management: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities, ensuring all modifications are properly documented and approved.

What We're Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to build and maintain effective communication and relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Experience managing remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and projects.
  • Financial Planning: Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.
  • Site Assessment: Ability to support Corporate Real Estate projects as an IT Offices representative, including on-site assessment reporting.
  • Operational Support: Experience ensuring operational sustainability of airport critical environmental systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints while maintaining quality standards.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to support operations with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call emergency requirements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge: Preferred Qualifications

While not required, these qualifications will help you stand out:


  • Four-year degree in a relevant technical field OR 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • IT Project Management Experience (minimum 3 years) within a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment
  • Hands-on experience with daily operational requirements and the management of production systems and equipment
  • Industry certifications such as Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), PMP, or equivalent
  • Experience with airport or large-scale facility IT infrastructure management
