This role focuses on the design, development, implementation, and optimization of robotic systems and automated solutions within manufacturing environments. You will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge robotic technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key responsibilities include designing robot work cells, selecting appropriate robotic hardware (arms, grippers, sensors), and developing control logic and motion programming using proprietary and industry-standard software. You will perform system integration, conduct testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues that arise during operation. Collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as production staff, is essential to ensure seamless automation deployment. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance existing robotic processes. Experience with simulation software and data analysis for performance optimization is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience in robotics engineering. Proficiency in programming industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) is required. Strong understanding of automation principles, PLC programming, and industrial networking is essential. Experience with vision systems and sensor integration is a significant plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are crucial. This is a hybrid role, based at our facility in Omaha, Nebraska, US , offering a blend of on-site project work and remote planning.
