About This Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and driven Associate Product Director to join our Automation Innovation team as a Senior Associate. This role is critical to our strategy, focusing on the discovery, development, and execution of advanced chat automation capabilities. You'll be working at the intersection of product strategy, data science, engineering, and user experience to deliver solutions that transform customer interactions.
In this role, you'll leverage your relationships across the product organization—including Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and business stakeholders—to shape our conversational AI customer service products. This is a high-impact position where your work will directly influence how millions of Cardmembers experience our digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Product Discovery: Drive comprehensive product discovery efforts and define product requirements that create opportunities to elevate the customer experience to new heights.
- Data-Informed Decision Making: Leverage customer insights, conversational analytics, industry knowledge, and technical expertise to analyze the performance of existing solutions and develop future capabilities that exceed customer expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with engineers, data scientists, and product managers across different value streams to deliver products that balance short-term improvements with long-term strategic investments.
- Product Definition & Delivery: Partner with the core product team to define customer stories, map product definitions, and build comprehensive acceptance criteria. Identify and elevate any need for additional research to shape future feature design.
- Testing & Optimization: Lead customer testing initiatives and post-launch sustainment analysis of automation features. Continuously identify ways to improve the customer experience based on real-world usage data.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze performance metrics that demonstrate the health of the product and design clear, data-informed product recommendations accordingly.
- Product Backlog Management: Maintain and refine the product backlog, mapping user stories to end-user needs while prioritizing initiatives that deliver maximum business value.
- Strategic Planning: Support the definition and creation of product strategy, roadmap, release planning, and overall customer experience vision.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated curiosity about how things work, with the ability to connect disparate pieces of information and identify opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action.
- Passion for building exceptional products and services, with the ability to empathize with customers and articulate product functionality clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and nuanced concepts with brevity, clarity, and impact.

- Experience in product management, particularly in digital products or SaaS platforms.

- Experience working in financial services or highly regulated industries.
