About the Role
As the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Media Trade (CMX), you will serve as a critical contributor to our rapidly growing retail media arm, which represents one of the most innovative and fast-paced divisions within our organization. You will report directly to the Director of Business Insight and work as an integral member of our analytics team, driving data-driven decision-making across cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at arenaflex, your days will be filled with meaningful work that directly impacts our business outcomes. Here's what you can expect:
Data Extraction & Analysis
- Identify and extract data from various internal and external sources, synthesizing information into comprehensive, actionable reports
- Perform deep-dive analyses to answer complex business questions and support strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines that ensure timely access to critical business metrics
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions
Data Visualization & Reporting
- Create intuitive and visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in data presentation, enabling informed decision-making across the organization
- Develop self-service reporting tools that empower business users to access the information they need
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, persuasive manner
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science
- Streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Provide expertise and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business language
Data Quality Assurance & Integrity
- Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting
- Proactively identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Establish data governance best practices and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Continuously monitor data quality metrics and implement improvements as needed
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in data analytics and the ability to work effectively with complex datasets. We're seeking candidates with:
- SQL Expertise: Minimum 4 years of experience writing complex queries using Big Query or similar platforms. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and optimizing query performance.
- Data Visualization Skills: At least 4 years of experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable platforms. You should have a proven track record of creating intuitive, impactful visualizations.
- Analytical Experience: 4+ years of experience conducting data analysis, including statistical analysis, trend identification, and insight generation.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. You should be able to create sophisticated spreadsheets and compelling presentations.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding and hands-on experience working with digital media technology stacks, including ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, and related platforms
- Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), Google Cloud Platform, or Adobe Marketing Cloud
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively within team settings and across functional boundaries
- Experience in retail media, e-commerce, or digital advertising industries
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application to business problems
