  • *Why You'll Love This Role**

This isn't your typical data engineering position. At arenaflex, you'll be instrumental in shaping how our organization understands and uses data. You'll work within our dynamic Data Engineering and Analytics team, where innovation isn't just encouraged—it's expected. Your contributions will directly impact decision-making at the highest levels of the company, giving you exposure and visibility that few roles can offer.

The work environment at arenaflex celebrates collaboration while also respecting individual expertise. You'll have the freedom to design and implement solutions that you're passionate about, supported by teammates who are equally committed to excellence. Whether you're optimizing data pipelines, building new analytical frameworks, or mentoring junior team members, every day brings new opportunities to grow and make your mark.

  • *What You'll Do**

As a Senior Data Engineer with arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that power our analytical capabilities. Your technical expertise will be crucial in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions across the entire organization.

You'll collaborate closely with source data application teams and product owners to understand their analytical needs and translate those requirements into robust data engineering solutions. This involves everything from initial design through implementation and ongoing support, ensuring that our data infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and performant.

Your technical responsibilities will span the full development lifecycle. You'll engage in cloud engineering activities encompassing infrastructure, networking, security, and architecture. You'll design and implement data ingestion pipelines, create sophisticated data models, develop comprehensive testing strategies, and establish CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid and reliable deployments. Performance tuning will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring that our data systems operate at peak efficiency.

As part of our DevOps culture, you'll completely own and support the products you build. This means not just developing solutions but also maintaining them, responding to incidents, and continuously improving what you've created. You'll implement both batch and streaming data pipelines using cutting-edge cloud technologies, always keeping security and best practices at the forefront.

Leadership is an essential component of this role. You'll drive innovation by establishing coding standards, documenting best practices, and ensuring that security and compliance requirements are met across all data solutions. Additionally, you'll mentor other team members, helping them develop their technical and domain expertise while fostering a collaborative team environment.

You should have two or more years of experience working with cloud platforms and data lakes, including familiarity with Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Power BI.

A working knowledge of various tools and platforms will serve you well in this role. Experience with scripting languages like Python, Scala, Unix, and SQL is important. Familiarity with data platforms including Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake adds significant value. Knowledge of Azure Data Explorer and strong networking abilities are considered a plus.

Proficiency across the Azure technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, and curation is highly valued. You'll need expertise in effectively guiding course within Azure's native cloud services. Azure Development Track Certification is preferred, and Scala Certification would be a distinct advantage.

  • *Preferred Qualifications**

If you have five or more years of programming solution development experience using Agile and DevOps methodologies, you'll stand out from other candidates. Similarly, five or more years of data analysis experience using SQL would strengthen your application.
