Position Overview

The Examination group at arenaflex is searching for experienced Information Researchers and Senior Information Researchers to direct estimation, strategy, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role involves working across different teams and organizational levels to uncover insights and transform them into applicable recommendations that drive choices for the entire association. Our Analytics team is integral to all functional areas of the business, and we are looking for a candidate who can bring both technical expertise and business acumen to the role.

In this position, you will utilize your quantitative foundation to mentor other researchers and dive into massive datasets to guide decision-making. We tackle a wide range of exciting challenges including customer acquisition, fraud detection and support, marketing optimization, supply and demand balancing, new market launches, marketplace efficiency, and much more. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving data-informed decision making across the organization. Your primary duties will include:

• Quantitative Analysis: Use quantitative analysis and data presentation to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives our business. You will be expected to develop deep insights into customer behavior, market dynamics, and operational efficiency.


• Full-Cycle Analytics: Build complete analysis cycles including experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools. You will own the entire process from data collection to insight generation.


• Mentorship and Guidance: Work with and mentor junior professionals on how to use advanced methods and address challenges. Share your expertise to help develop the next generation of data scientists at arenaflex.


• Statistical Validation: Generate recommendations and use statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate your findings. Ensure that all insights are backed by rigorous analysis and statistical significance.


• Business Insights: Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, customer behaviors, and long-term trends. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.


• Forecasting and Prediction: Identify and forecast switches to help move fundamental metrics and make recommendations. Develop predictive models that anticipate future trends and challenges.


• Problem-Solving Approach: Work backwards from understanding and measuring problems to ideating solutions. Apply structured thinking to ambiguous business challenges.


• Dashboard Development: Report against our goals by identifying fundamental metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress. Ensure leadership has real-time visibility into key performance indicators.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering to implement, report, validate, and monitor our logging infrastructure. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.


• Domain Expertise: Apply expertise across multiple domains including customer acquisition, fraud prevention, marketing optimization, supply chain management, and marketplace dynamics.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following essential requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable quantitative field. Advanced degrees are a plus but not required.


• Professional Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in data analysis, consulting, or a related role. Experience in a fast-paced tech or logistics environment is preferred.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL queries, ETL processes, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis including hypothesis testing, experimentation, and regression models using statistical packages such as Matlab, R, SAS, or Python.


• Analytical Tools: Strong capability in at least one analytics and visualization tool such as Chartio, Looker, or Tableau.


• Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way.


• Statistical Expertise: Experience working with pipeline optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, and other advanced statistical techniques.


• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.


• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how data-driven insights translate into business value and strategic recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would make you an ideal candidate:
