About the Role: Senior Data Scientist – Machine Learning & AI

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team to drive the development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models that power our world-class experiences. • Lead Innovation Initiatives: Drive the creation, implementation, and support of advanced data analysis and machine learning models that power our attractions and guest services. You'll be at the forefront of developing solutions that make everyday experiences extraordinary.


• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver elite guest experiences through intelligent data systems. Your work will span multiple departments, ensuring that our technology serves every aspect of our guest journey.


• Advance ML Strategies: Engage with research teams to identify opportunities where machine learning can solve complex business challenges. You'll help shape the direction of our AI initiatives and ensure we're always leveraging the latest innovations.


• Build Scalable Solutions: Lead and collaborate with other data scientists and engineers to execute and scale ML solutions that push operational boundaries while creating magical experiences for our guests.


• Drive Research & Development: Lead proof-of-concept projects, technology initiatives, and client interactions that result in developing tier-one AI platforms. Your ideas will help shape the future of our technological capabilities.


• Ensure Operational Excellence: Manage functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by your team, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.


• Establish Best Practices: Build standard methodologies used in daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale AI projects that deliver measurable business value.


• Productionize ML Models: Deploy ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with diverse teams to achieve goals in improving system performance while aligning with existing software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and comprehensive code reviews.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Mastery: 2+ years of demonstrated proficiency in Python programming with predictive modeling experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, or similar tools.


• Cloud Expertise: 2+ years of deep experience with major cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with the ability to architect cloud-native solutions.


• Software Development Skills: Strong command of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.


• Data Engineering Proficiency: Master-level experience working with both structured and unstructured data—including images, video, text, audio, and more—as well as SQL relational and NoSQL databases.


• Data Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or other data workflow management orchestration tools.


• Version Control & MLOps: Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.


• Business Acumen: Experience leading discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and expected outcomes, combined with strong communication skills and a results-driven mindset.


• Systems Integration: Strong systems integration architecture skills with the ability to translate new technologies into practical business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences would strengthen your application and help you hit the ground running:

• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker


• Experience with configuration management tools


• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration


• Experience with cloud solutions beyond AWS/GCP


• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices


• Experience with data visualization and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Plotly, or Tableau


• Experience with audio analysis and signal processing


• Experience with text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
