We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team and help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
Position Overview

In this role, you will develop complex financial models that support decision-making related to new product development assessments, product portfolio evaluations, profitability analyses of emerging opportunities, capital investment decisions, income and margin modeling, and the financial impact of regulatory changes. You will play a critical role in forecasting, interpreting current business performance through the design and monitoring of key product metrics, and conducting ongoing financial assessments of our products, marketing programs, pricing strategies, and operational services.
This position requires a professional who can prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to provide forecasts of business, divisional, and/or economic conditions—information that is essential for senior leadership to make sound strategic decisions. You will also analyze and advise on the financial implications of current and proposed programs, fulfilling complex analysis needs that drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop complex financial models to support decision-making processes related to new product development, product portfolio assessment, profitability of emerging opportunities, capital investments, income models, income margin assessment, and the impact of regulatory changes. Define financial requirements for brand-new products and features.
- Financial Statement Analysis: Analyze and summarize division financial statements, expenses, and records to identify trends, variances, and areas for improved performance. Provide recommendations for management decision-making.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Perform light to complex financial analysis, including engaging in research and identifying, designing, and implementing programs and tools to meet reporting and analysis needs. Run multiple scenarios through models and interpret financial impacts.
- Budget Management: Measure financial results against budget and forecast. Assist in the development of long-range financial plans and continuously analyze ongoing financial results. May assist in developing the annual budget and analyze actual versus budgeted figures on an ongoing basis.
- Process Improvement: With minimal guidance from management, assess analytical tools and various formats of information availability. Research and build new programs that allow multiple lines of information to be integrated, making financial modeling assessment more efficient and enabling more in-depth analysis and comparison.
- Advanced Analytics: Where standard tools are insufficient, use statistical assessment software (such as SAS) to model and analyze data as requested.
- Performance Review: Review monthly financial operating results for each assigned business unit, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. Work with various departments to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with specific departments within arenaflex to ensure that strategic initiatives are accomplished. Provide facts and support to management regarding expenditures, purchases, and specific costs of doing business.
- RFP Support: As requested, answer complex Request for Proposal (RFP) questions related to new business and customer renewals for various programs. Responsible for ensuring information integrity and accuracy of facts provided to RFP questions.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analyses and forecasts for internal management teams and external customers as needed.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and training to associate analysts and analysts on financial modeling, data extraction techniques, and budgetary considerations. Recommend best practices for pulling and refining data. Explain complex interconnections of data and how assumptions on one program or project may impact other programs or duties.
Essential Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, AND at least 1 year of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis, or economics;
- OR High School Diploma/GED AND at least 4 years of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis, or economics.
Technical Skills
- Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability assessment, and/or auditing techniques.
- Experience using time management skills, including prioritizing/organizing and tracking data and meeting competitive deadlines of multiple tasks with various final contact dates.
- Experience with reading and reporting information to identify problems, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of outcomes and identify solutions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: utilizing themes, formatting individual spacing, setting pictures, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart styles, and/or formatting fonts).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: setting headers, page breaks, page numbers, and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM functions, setting borders, setting column width, setting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers, and/or print scaling).
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (SAS).
- Prior experience in retail, pharmacy, or healthcare industry financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the healthcare or retail pharmacy sector.
